Dear Miss Himmelright:
We are in receipt of a copy of the “Ashland Press” containing a copy of one of Dillie’s letters and I hasten to return those you kindly had forwarded to us, thinking you may wish to have these published also. It has been our intention to return them long before this, but, not knowing that you intended to have them published, we have neglected to do so as it was our intention to make copies of them, but lack of time and the opportunity has prevented our doing so thus far. A newspaper copy would suit us as well, for future reference.
Have you heard anything recently from the South American people Charlie and Dillie? Our last letter was dated Dec. 4th, 1899 and was received in the early part of the present month. They were then getting along very nicely, enjoying good health and their work as well.
Again, regretting our delay in returning the letters and trusting that they may yet be in time for publication we remain, hastily,
Very truly
Mr. & Mrs. O H Wertenberger
